The Mariners were actually in the Wild Card race at one point this season, but faded like a falling rock in the fourth quarter of the season. Which is why, Seattle's announcers Dave Niehaus and Mike Blowers decided to have some fun on Sunday. Not only did Blowers pick of Matt Tuiasosopo as player of the game pan out, but he even predicted the at-bat, count, pitch, and location of his first major league homer....
Now that is just unbelievable. The way they're giggling makes you think could be fake, but I think the reaction as the ball goes out gives it credibility. Too funny.
Not that the Colin Cowherd hosted show doesn't already piss you off, but apparently ESPN is going to make it completely unwatchable for a day. The afternoon show will be going for the Guinness World record, for the most mentions of the name....Brett Favre. Seriously....
ESPN hopes to hype records for its Green Bay-Minnesota game Monday night. Literally. ESPN, says spokesman Mike Soltys, will announce that on next Monday's broadcast of its ESPN2 SportsNation (5 p.m. ET), it will try to set a record for the most mentions of Brett Favre on a TV show — with Guinness World Records now looking for the current record. Some records should never be broken.
First of all, you don't really even need to hype the game. It's basically guaranteed to become the most watched cable program of the year, by a long shot. Second....really? REALLY ESPN?!?! I understand that you think you're being cute, but this is just a terrible, terrible idea.

Hmmm..... The New album will be called "The Liberation". I think she needs more tracks because I have heard some of those and they aint all that.
Look at this picture... nah look at it closer!!!!!!!!!!!! Beyonce and Kelly are there but who the hell is that trying to make out they are LaTavia and LeToya. That is NOT LeToya or LaTavia.... WTF is going on ... did they have body double for the girls to make out they were all still together. I am confused!!!!!!!!!
LOL Look at Nicole in the background watching Lewis's reaction to Beyonce. She is like " at least I wear my own hair... look at this dry shit... better give that horse back his tail bitch"
I am sure if you check your twitter page for Solange tomorrow, the media whore will be continually posting updates on it that she is with Oprah. Girl, Oprah only wants you cos of your sister lol. That must hurt.
They say it is all about "hair" but we really know its about Beyonce... watch her face when Oprah says "And her famous sister Beyonce".... SMH
LeToya Luckett is about to be dropped from her record label!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Capitol Records have bascially said if "Regret" doesnt do well then its over for LeToya. Considering they did hardly any promotion for her album and left it mainly to blogs are we really surprised. The song choices were wrong.... or right but in the wrong order and nothing seemed to be pushed!
Kelly Rowland continues to make her mark in the fashion world. The gorgeous singing star sat front row at the DSquared2 fashion show.
Apparently, that is what people are starting to say. Kelly is making a name for herself in the fashion world and is secretly thinking about making her own clothing line. One that would put House of Deadwrong (Dereon) to shame!!! I hope she does...
Lindsay Lohan and Beyonce fought it out for the biggest dressing room at F1 Rocks - and we lapped up the drama. LiLo, who was hosting the event for Channel 4, had asked for the best dressing room in the house at Fort Canning, Singapore. But there was a small problem - so had Beyonce. Bey wanted it decked out in white, with authentic local cushions, and a minimum of four lit mirrors. Even though she hasn't got a curve out of place she also asked for a mini gym and slimming shakes on her rider, plus champagne and vodka for her pals. What Bey wants, Bey gets. And when Lindsay came on site earlier in the week, she clocked the huge room - and claimed it herself. All well and good and LiLo was happy all week - until Saturday when Beyonce arrived, with a 70-strong entourage in tow. Her giant security guards ordered LiLo to clear the area to prepare for her grand entrance. And poor old LiLo was forced to slum it.
Surprise surprise!!! Beyonce is NOT a DIVA remember *rolls eyes*
We'll be doing some more live blogging tonight over at 12StepDrop. It's ESPN's turn at praising Jerry's new stadium tonight, so get on early to enjoy the fellating! We'll get going right around 8:30pm, but in the meantime....let's get those predictions!!!

T.O. had his first catchless day in about one-hundred and seventy plus games, but he apparently decided to take his frustrations out on NBC commentator Rodney Harrison. Oh and he did so on Twitter. Via Sports by Brooks....
Well then. While it's certainly true that Harrison used steroids, this definitely just shows how much of a child that Owens really is. Welcome to T.O.'s last year in the league, folks. Hope you enjoy it!
ESPN is sending College Gameday to Boston for the officially dull, and unranked, matchup of Florida State and Boston College. Obviously there has to be a reason, and while some might think it's to promote the launch of ESPNBoston.com, that's actually not the case. ESPN is heading to BC in part to discuss the story of Mark Herzlich, who was the Eagles' star linebacker who was 2008's ACC Defensive POY, and diagnosed with cancer this past March. Via The Sporting Blog....
ESPN's College GameDay has been all over the country since they took their show on the road, literally, in 1993. Until this coming weekend, though, the show had only been in Boston once, parachuting into Chestnut Hill in 2005 for Boston College's first ACC game.
The reasoning for going to a matchup of two unranked teams in a town where college football may be the fourth or fifth passion? Well, at least on its surface, it likely has something to do with the story of Mark Herzlich, the BC linebacker who was 2008's ACC Defensive Player of the Year and diagnosed with cancer in March.
However, at the risk of sounding crass: Does this really require moving the entire production to Boston? ESPN's offices, it is impossible to forget, are in Bristol, Connecticut, and their crews are more than capable of driving to Chestnut Hill or Pennsylvania, where Herzlich may be with his family, and putting together a moving piece with or without GameDay in town.
I personally think where Gameday goes, isn't really important, and there's not a chance that ESPN would send the crew to hype a CBS game airing that day. Sure there's Cal-USC, and Oklahoma-Miami, but why not raise awareness for Cancer research whenever you can.
At one point in time, The Oakland Raiders were an awfully good Football team. Current CBS analyst Rich Gannon was the team's quarterback then, and they even made it to a Super Bowl. I know it's hard to believe. Well, fast forward to today. The Raiders are dreadful, and Rich Gannon hasn't held back his feelings when it comes to his former team. Which is why....they've banned him. Via the San Francisco Gate....
"Rich Gannon is not welcome here," Raiders executive John Herrera said Friday when asked about the ban. "We told CBS we did not want him in our building, we did not want him to be part of our production meeting, and that's where it sits."
The Raiders also asked CBS to remove Gannon from Sunday's broadcast crew but the network declined. The team had previously asked CBS to remove Gannon from working their Nov. 30 game against the Chiefs last season to no avail.
"He's attacked us on a regular basis since becoming a member of the media," Herrera said. "After affording him the opportunity to establish a career here, he has since gone on to attack us in a way that's totally unacceptable."
Herrera quoted Gannon as saying in several interviews they should just "blow up the building and start over" in Oakland. Team officials took that as literally as they did figuratively, and told Gannon as much before last season's home game against the Chiefs.
"We think in a post 9/11 world, that's not a very proper thing to say," Herrera said. "It's uncalled for. He seems to be a guy who can't get over the fact that he played the worst Super Bowl game in the history of the game and he wants to blame everybody but himself.
"I guess it's our fault he threw five interceptions."
Good lord this team is petty. How team's think they can operate like this, and succeed, is completely beyond me. Kudos for Gannon to speak the truth, and that he's not letting this nonsense affect his work.
Well we here at DCRumours are currently working on a new site for us to locate to. There may be news up today, there maybe not. I working on getting the site finished ASAP.
12StepDrop is streaming games live all day today. I am going to be embedding their live blog viewer, but if you want to watch some out of market streams, head over.

In a recent interview LeToya discusses rejoining DC and what it should involve.
Would you reunite with Destiny's Child if the opportunity presented itself?
I wouldn't mind it. All of us would have to be on the same page about everything. The respect would have to be there for everyone. We would have to know that we're going out there to do this for the fans and that's it. I don't know.
Would it have to be the original quartet or would you do it as a quintet?
It would need to be about eight of us. [Laughs] But I would love to be out there onstage with the girls again and have that time. It's been about 10 or 11 years.
If they were to all rejoin I think it would be great PR and also great for the image of Beyonce etc to have all that former members on stage. All doing an album, and all sharing out the lyrics etc. I think that would be an amazing comeback. What do you think?
Kelly Rowland exclusively told 3am: "We're not getting back together, they're just rumours. It seems people are thirsty for it to happen, but it's not on the books. "Michelle is playing Roxie Hart in Chicago, I'm working on my solo album, and Bey's got her own things going on." Aww, shame! Kelly scotched the rumours as she helped volunteers at a community centre in London for Orange RockCorps She is also performing in tonight's Orange RockCorps gig alongside Nas, Razorlight and her dance partner David Guetta.
I am so sad about this. Soon it will be too late for them to reform.... no one will care by then.
Beyoncé's name has been linked to a remake of the classic film 'A Star is Born'. The Hollywood Reporter says that the singer's name has "surfaced in connection with the lead role" but she is "not officially involved at this point". 'A Star is Born' tells the story of a young hopeful who becomes involved with a major male
Well we have more details on Farrah's new show. Apparently, this is for hot woman and whether their good looks are a blessing or work against them.
Im not being mean but that does sound kinda lame. I wonder if any TV companies have picked up on it. I doubt it! Anyway, auditions are tomorrow so if you want to go then email her.... or find her on twitter.
SINGER BEYONCE KNOWLES is being targeted by Islamic extremists trying to force her to scrap a gig. A right-wing Muslim party claims the star's sexy outfits and provocative stage routines are "immoral" and a danger to the young. They are threatening to "take action" to prevent her staging a show near Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur scheduled for October 25 as part of a world tour. Two years ago US beauty Beyonce, 28, had to pull out of a gig in Malaysia over similar fears. The Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party said: "This performance is not suitable for Muslims - her attire and behaviour onstage are immoral."
To be honest, I feel where they are coming from. But then again, are they not taking this too far? If you dont want to see the concert then dont go and see it.
Kelly recently hit up a chatroom with producer Science in London. When asked about her relationship with Beyonce and whether they would do a song together..she replied:
"There is no songs in the works but we still talk... on the phone"
Sounds to me like they really have lost touch with eachother. I talk to people on the phone but I dont call them my friends... hmmmm... We used to see these girls everywhere together...regardless of other commitments. Its so sad.
“Every now and then I think they are cute and I adore my three God children, but it’s a lot. I understand the whole nanny thing, but I want my children to fear me and know the power of my discipline, not some nanny, so I’ll need a little more time before I start a family (laughs),”
Shame... looks like Michelle does not have any plans for making babies soon...

Sean Salisbury went from ESPN analyst to, online mogul, to radio host, in a brief period, and unfortunately controversy followed him each place. Everyone knows the ESPN alleged story about "Lil Sean" and a cell phone camera, while Sean's latest problems (after being let go by a radio station in Dallas) are rumored to be along the same lines, Salisbury is apparently suing everyone on the planet. Via Deadspin....
This is salisbury and I just want u to know ur guys lies and carelessness about CBS and espn stories has not only ruined my reputation but has cost me jobs so prepare urself for a lawsuit so big I will own deadspin u will be asked to give up ur sources so since u guys have cost me more than alot of money my only goal in my career is to ruin u like u have me. Sadly I tried to be honest with you and you have continually written lies. So you and a few major media networks arebeing sued. And put this on ur careless website. I kept a journal for 13 years at espn and a tell all book will be released in months to come. Book title: espn exposed. The truth inside the r rated company. So ur lies about a cell phone incident that is a lie and the reason I left CBS radio that u guys lied about. The time has come and I won't stop until the truth is told and deadspin is exposed.
Well then. Obviously, if the rumored cell phone incidents aren't true, then Salisbury has some leverage. Buuuut....these things have followed them everywhere, and the original ESPN employee is on record as confirming the story. It seems like big talk from someone who's frustrated with his current situation, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye on how it plays out.
(Side note: If you read that whole email exchange on Deadspin, the amount of spelling mistakes is atrocious. It wouldn't surprise me that this is/was a hoax.)
Near the end of every Baseball season, networks scramble to pick up some of the games in the Playoff race, and this year is no different. We saw some of it last weekend, but the real fun will start this Friday night. TBS has decided to pick up the Red Sox-Yankees game that evening, with Chip Caray and Buck Martinez on the call.
The MLB Network will also air a BOS-NYY game (today, 3:30pm), as well showing the Tigers, Twins, Cardinals and Rockies, in the coming week. Add to that the FOX and ESPN schedules and you have one heck of a Baseball weekend. Here's a schedule for you....

Former MLB Manager, Bobby Valentine, has spent what seems like a lifetime coaching in Japan, but that could be changing soon. According to the NY Daily News, are return to the States is a "done deal", and that his employer will be ESPN....
Television industry and baseball sources say Valentine, completing his final season as manager of the Chiba Lotte Marines of Japan's Pacific League, is on the verge of signing a lucrative multi-year deal with ESPN.
Valentine, no doubt carrying his bag of disguises, will likely make his debut at the network working in its "Baseball Tonight" studio during next month's playoffs.
"It's a done deal," one source said. "And it should be announced soon."
This would mark Valentine's second tour of duty in Bristol. In 2003, he replaced Buck Showalter in ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" studio.
Again, I don't know why they need to add yet ANOTHER analyst, but Valentine's hiring will sure make a splash for the Playoffs. I remember him having a few problems back in 2003, but he's done so much TV since then, that it shouldn't be a problem this go around.
One of the more stressful things to deal with, when it comes to Fantasy Football, is when you are away from your computer right before 1pm. I know everyone has called a friend to change their lineup, and I've even ran into a random library or two in my day. Well, ESPN has a solution for you if you use their fantasy services. Yes, ESPN is starting a "help desk", that runs from 8am to 1am seven days a week, and will actually change your lineup for you. Via 12SD....
While that seems like a great idea, it seems equally creepy. Obviously Fantasy Sports are a huge business nowadays, but this might be taking it too far.
Farrah Franklin is currently auditioning for a new TV show. She is said to be producing and casting the venture. There is no word on what the TV show will be about but I expect nothing but GHETTO Trash… I am sure we will love it. If you are interested in being in Farrah's new show then all you have to do is email here for details:
Rumors hit the net a few weeks ago that Solange has a new man. And it’s D.C.’s own Wale. I chocked it up to the fact that they were performing together during a MTV VMA commercial break and somebody just ran with it for publicity. Plus they did a remix together for “F*ck The Industry”.
But there just may be some truth to it because Solange was indeed in the nation’s capital this past weekend at Wale’s birthday party at The Park on Fourteenth. Wale is also now signed to her brother in law Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation. And I hear the two were looking like much more than “just friends” celebrating a birthday. Well I didn’t see this one coming. Get it girl…
I wish she would just say if it was true or not. The fact that she is remaining silent says it all!
Capitol Records decided to stop the funding the “Lady Love” project. We all know the story. Now LeToya fans decided to start a petition to save the project: Dear Capitol Records/ EMI Music. The fans of LeToya Luckett believe she is a master at her craft. Over the past three years, her vocals and stage presence have greatly improved. Most artists these days do not evolve as she has, which shows how extremely dedicated she is. She has so much potential and has our full support to achieve ultimate success and she needs yours as well. LeToya fans are EXTREMELY disappointed with the way you have been treating her and her “Lady Love” album thus far. We believe that she has proven she deserves the same promotion as her label mates e.g. Katy Perry. We fully understand that her first two singles did not push this album as we had all hoped, but with the lackadaisical promotion they were given we are not surprised. However, the third single, “Regret” featuring Ludacris, has already shown it has the potential to become her next smash hit single. We, the fans, have pushed this song into an enviable top 20 position without your support, but top 10, top 5 and even the big 1 can happen, but we need your backing. We request that you provide, at the very least, the same promotion to that which her debut album received e.g. more than two or three TV performances, that send Regret for radio ads be given an official add date to build upon the strong airplay performance we have started, and provide LeToya with the budget reflective of a Grammy award winning, Platinum selling artist, with two #1 albums to her credit , so a successful “Regret” video can be produced and distributed. We understand that money does not grow on trees, and so far the album has not returned all of your investment, but we know believe that “Regret” can will change all of that with you your fully renewed support. Thank you for reading, LeToya fans, and people who love real R&B music SIGN THE ONLINE PETITION HERE Hopefully Capitol Records wakes up when they realize how much of a dedicated fan base she has… They need to inject money into this project and we need a “Regret” video ASAP!
Wonderwall caught up with the former Destiny's Child singer at the Badgley Mischka show at New York's Fashion Week and quizzed her about how the 808s & Heartbreak rapper can crawl back into the public's good graces after cheesing off just about everyone. "Just be a nice person," Rowland offered. "I think it came from a good place—it was just executed wrong. I love Kanye."
I dont like the get up she is wearing in that pic. It looks weird!
Alexandra Burke is reportedly in talks to support Beyoncé on the European leg of her 'I Am' world tour. The X Factor winner, who releases new single 'Bad Boys' on October 12, is allegedly planning to join Beyoncé for the 11 dates across the UK and Ireland. "I can't confirm anything yet. But I'm hoping to be on the European leg of Beyoncé's tour," she told Flavour. "She's a great support and a great friend and she's still my mentor in a way because everytime I've got a problem, I'm ringing her and she's the one who advises me." The singer revealed that she formed a close friendship with Beyoncé while recording her debut album in the US. "In the studio in New York I was singing and opening my eyes and my girl Beyoncé was standing there," she said. "I went to cuddle her and cried. She said, 'You can't cry - we're friends now' and I cried some more. I was like, 'You can't tell me things like that. You're Beyoncé'."
Bless this girl, she is a true Beyonce stan and she deserve it! Good for her.
