ESPN Hires Pete Carroll For A Night

Right when you thought Pete Carroll's Bowl Season was over, ESPN has to go and hire him to be an analyst for the BCS Championship Game. Carroll will appear on a few Sports Centers, College Gameday and of course the coverage of the Texas-Alabama showdown at the Rose Bowl. Via ESPN....
USC head coach Pete Carroll, who led the Trojans to seven consecutive Pac-10 titles and two National Championships, will join ESPN to provide analysis about the Citi BCS National Championship on the network’s SportsCenter and College GameDay Built by The Home Depot Jan. 6-7.

Carroll will offer his insight on the pressure of playing in a National Championship Game and at the Rose Bowl, as well as coaching against Texas coach Mack Brown in the 2006 National Championship game. Carroll joined USC in 2001 and holds a 97-19 record (83.6%), second highest among active coaches with more than five years at the position.

Carroll will appear on the ESPN set at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on the evening editions of SportsCenter Wednesday, Jan. 6; a special one-hour College GameDay Thursday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.; National Championship pre-game and halftime shows on ABC beginning at 8 p.m.; and for ESPN’s SportsCenter post-game coverage following the game.
I don't despise Carroll as much as some people, and his personality might work in adding something to the broadcast. We shall see.

Spell "Illuminati" backwards, add a dot com to it, and end up on the NSA homepage! (WoW)

Tonight I was told by a fellow journalist and patriot that if you spell the word Illuminati backwards and add a dot com to it, you will end up on the homepage of the NSA website. (Ex=Illuminati backwards =itanimulli=itanimulli.com. Initially, I was pretty skeptical, I didn't know what to think. So, I decided to check it out for myself. I typed Illuminati into my browser backwards (plus the dot com) and hit enter. (like this=itanimulli.com). Low and behold, I was redirected to the front page of the NSA website. I was shocked, so I did a little more digging, and found out the site is owned by a guy named  John Fenley. Now, John Fenley just seems like a college guy who is in to building robots, but upon further research I found a photo of him in a truck with a logo on it which says Darpa grand challenge. The DARPA Grand Challenge is a prize competition for driverless cars, sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the most prominent research organization of the United States Department of Defense.

New World Order
New World Order
Congress has authorized DARPA to award cash prizes to further DARPA’s mission to sponsor revolutionary, high-payoff research that bridges the gap between fundamental discoveries and their use for national security. DARPA has technologies needed to create the first fully autonomous ground vehicles capable of completing a substantial off-road course within a limited time. The third event, The DARPA Urban Challenge, which took place on November 3, 2007 and was broadcast via webcast, further advanced vehicle requirements to include autonomous operation in a mock urban environment. The CIA has to launder their drug money somewhere, so I guess it's thru this Darpa or. This photo shows a small but interesting link between the NSA site and redirector.

Flight 253 FBI cover up ( Kurt Haskell eyewitness on Alex Jones show) video. flight 253 cover up

kurt HaskellToday, on the Alex Jones show, Kurt Haskell detailed his experience at the Amsterdam airport and on flight 253.

Mr. Haskell addressed the unprofessional  behavior of the FBI and airport security. He characterized their behavior as a “complete embarrassment. He described how a bomb sniffing dog pointed towards a mans luggage Haskell described as Indian, and around 30 years old. Officials led the man to an interrogation room. Haskell was concerned because the bomb sniffing dog had flagged the man, indicating he may have had explosives in his carry on luggage. The Indian man was subsequently led away in handcuffs.Following this incident the FBI moved the passengers to another location. Haskell says the corporate media will not cover his part of the story. He has repeated it to dozens of news agencies and they uniformly have not included it. Haskell questioned the officials and asked why they have not released the Amsterdam airport security video that will undoubtedly reveal crucial information about the “sharp-dressed man” who escorted Mutallab to the boarding area. The well dressed Indian man spoke for the boy at the boarding gate. He insisted Mutallab be boarded on the plane and even spoke with a supervisor. The Indian man told airport personnel he was a Sudanese refugee. There are many unanswered questions concerning this incident and I will update the site with new information regularly.

Announcer Working Alamo Bowl, Gets Alamo Bowl Coach Suspended

Craig James is scheduled to call the Alamo Bowl on Saturday, but this time he'll be a part of the storyline. Craig James' son Adam plays for Texas Tech (who's playing in the Alamo Bowl against Michigan State), and recently suffered a concussion. Adam wanted to sit out a practice or two, but apparently Tech Coach Mike Leach did not taken kindly to that idea. He (allegedly) ordered a trainer to put Adam in an electrical closet, to which (surprisingly) Papa James did not take kindly to....
Sources told ESPN's Joe Schad that the Jameses felt Adam was treated inappropriately by Leach because he was unable to practice after a mild concussion. A source close to the James family told Schad that Leach directed a trainer to confine him to an equipment room for three hours and, days later, told a trainer to place James in an electrical closet. An attorney for Leach said that while James was secluded twice, the circumstances were not as portrayed by the James family.

"Mr. and Mrs. James took the step with great regret and after consideration and prayer to convey to the Texas Tech administration that their son had been subjected to actions and treatment not consistent with common sense rules for safety and health," the family said in a statement released on Monday.
Well then. Texas Tech has now suspended Leach for the Alamo Bowl and he could be facing even further action following an investigation. ESPN certainly protects their own, so I'd be worried if I were him.

Could Someone Get This Silly Hurt Player Off The Field For Pammy....NOW!

Ah yes, what holiday season would be complete without a clip from Pam Ward to celebrate your New Year? Pammy thought she was throwing it to the studio for an update during the thrilling Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, but alas....she was still on live. Enjoy (from KSJ via Deadspin)!

The irony of all of this is that Ray Bentley went on a ten minute spiel about how professional was (when discussing females in Sports because of the female ref) earlier in the game. Too funny, and I a perfect video to end the decade with. Where would I be without you Pammy?

Government Allowed Plane Bomber (Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab) to Attempt Attack?

Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab
A passenger who boarded Northwest Airlines Flight 253 in Amsterdam with plane bomber Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab says the would-be terrorist had no passport, and was aided by a sharp-dressed man who claimed Mutallab was a Sudanese refugee. This is just one of many inconsistencies surrounding the incident, which led to the cry for more airport security. Every single fact which has come to light since the attempted bombing on Christmas Day indicates the bomber was deliberately allowed to board the plane and that his attack would have succeeded if not for the brave reactions of the passengers and flight crew. According to Kurt Haskell, an attorney with the Haskell Law Firm in Taylor, Michigan, “He and his wife were sitting on the ground near their boarding gate in Amsterdam, which is when they saw Mutallab approach the gate with an unidentified man.” Mutallab was a poorly dressed, young looking individual, but he was accompanied by a man in an expensive suit.
“He says the suited man asked ticket agents whether Mutallab (the plane bomber) could board without a passport. “The guy said, ‘He’s from Sudan and we do this all the time.’” Although Mutallab is Nigerian, Haskell said the well-dressed man portrayed him as a desperate Sudanese refugee in an attempt to elicit sympathy and bypassing his lack of documents. “The ticket agent referred Mutallab and his companion to her manager down the hall, and Haskell didn’t see Mutallab again until after he allegedly tried to detonate an explosive on the plane,” states the report. Crucially, Haskell said after the plane landed he saw another man being taken into custody by the FBI along with Mutallab. However, the FBI later said that Mutallab was the only individual taken into custody. Mutallab was a known security threat who was on the terror watch list. He is barred from entering Britain after being refused a new visa due to applying for a fake university course. Separate reports said that he did hold a valid visa, which begs the question, how can someone on a terror watch list be allowed to fly?

It has also been revealed that Mutallab’s father contacted U.S. intelligence officials a month ago and warned them his son was a threat. The bomber’s father, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, was a a former minister and chairman of First Bank in Nigeria. The bomber does not fit the image of a disgruntled, rag-tag terrorist. His considerable wealth allowed him to live in luxury at an imposing London mansion. As a result of the failed attack, new security directives have been introduced for anyone traveling into America. Intense body and hand-luggage searches and sniffer dogs have been beefed up at departure gates and passengers have been ordered not to stand during the final hour of the flight and are not allowed access to any of their hand luggage during the final hour. However, if you’re a suspicious looking man on a terror watch list with no passport carrying explosives, you should breeze through security with no questions asked, just be sure to have a sharp-dressed man with you at all times. More airport security?

PETN explosive used in terrorist attack on Northwest Flight 253 (pentaerythritol)

petn, petn explosive, pentaerythritol
The explosive substance which Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab attempted to set off on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 during it's final approach to Detroit has been identified. It was IDed as PETN explosive.
PETN explosive (pentaerythritol) was first synthesized in 1891 by Tollens and Wiegand. In 1912, after being patented by the German government, the production of PETN started, with PETN being used by the German Army in World War I. PETN is also one of the ingredients in Semtex plastic explosive. Authorities suspect that the PETN explosive was carried in some sort of soft plastic or latex container. In fact, officials said something like a condom could have been used. It is probable that the container was destroyed in the fire that occurred as Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab lit the explosive, which had apparently been attached to his leg. As the same time that the explosive device on Flight 253 has been identified as PETN explosive, Mutallab has been charged in a federal criminal complaint with attempting to destroy a Northwest Airlines aircraft on its final approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Christmas Day, and with placing an explosive device on the aircraft, the Department of Justice said. Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab will make his initial court appearance later today, the Justice Department added.
petn, petn explosive, pentaerythritol
Many questions still exist in the Flight 253 incident. Mutallab PETN explosive has said he had contact with Yemeni al-Qaida operatives, who gave him the device and instructions. The confirmation that it was might point in that direction, as it would have required more resources than Mutallab would have. Meanwhile, Mutallab's father, a retired banker in Nigeria, has been questioned in the Nigerian capital of Abuja. Nigeria's This Day newspaper reported that family members said the elder Mutallab had been uncomfortable with his son's "extreme religious views." The paper added that the elder Mutallab had reported his son to the U.S. Embassy in the capital Abuja and to Nigerian security agencies as long as six months ago.

Andhra Pradesh governor "ND Tiwari video clip" resigns over sex scandal

nd tiwari video clip
ND Tiwari video clip NEW DELHI: Twenty-four hours after allegations of his involvement in a sex scandal at the Raj Bhavan surfaced, Andhra Pradesh governor ND Tiwari resigned. Even as Mr Tiwari cited “poor health” as the reason in his letter to President Pratibha Patil, the party sought to present the resignation as the Congress’ tradition of maintaining “high standards in public life”. “I think he has taken an appropiate decision in keeping with the party’s tradition of maintaining high standards in public life. I think Mr Tiwari does not want to hold on an office till it is proved that the video is true or false,” AICC general secretary and media department incharge Janardhan Dwivedi said. Indications that Mr Tiwari cannot continue in the post emerged when the Centre sought a report from the state chief secretary on the issue on Saturday. Through the day there had been signals from the Congress, that Mr Tiwari’s continuation would be untenable. As governor, he was above party politics, though Mr Tiwari has been a Congressman for more than five decades, a fact that caused the party some embarrassment in the wake of the latest developments. The allegation could not have come at a worse time for the Congress. The party is in the midst of dealing with the Telegana issue. It is understood that Mr Tiwari’s fate was sealed by President Pratibha Patil, who is to arrive in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. President Patil is understood to have indicated that it would be untenable for her to come to the city with such allegations being made publicly. Indications from the Congress high command were also not very favourable for him. An emergency meeting was held earlier on Saturday over the ‘sex tape’ issue. Highly-placed Congress sources said that he would have to go in view of the acute embarrassment he had brought to the organisation. ND Tiwari video clip The resignation came a day after a Telugu TV channel aired a footage captured in a sting operation of an elderly man, allegedly Governor Tiwari with three women in Raj Bhavan in a compromising position. The Raj Bhavan denied it and promptly approached the High Court yesterday to get a restraint order on the channel from telecasting the footage. Despite denials of the allegations, Mr Tiwari took the cue and with continued agitations outside Raj Bhavan by vociferous women activists realised that his position was untenable. Demands from the opposition in the state, particularly the Left, and at the national level, both the BJP and Left, also helped in ramping up the pressure on the governor to quit. By the way, they call it the nd tiwari video clip

Government to give Fannie May and Freddie Mac unlimited funds

fannie may
Mortgage giants Fannie may and Freddie mac have just received an ATM card from the government with unlimited funds. The Treasury Department removed the $400 billion financial cap on the money it will provide to keep the companies afloat on Thursday. By making the change before year-end, Treasury sidestepped the need for an OK from a bailout-weary Congress. While most analysts say the companies are unlikely to use the full $400 billion, Treasury officials said they decided to lift the caps to eliminate any uncertainty among investors about the government's commitments. But the timing of the announcement on a traditionally slow news day raised eyebrows.
The biggest headwind facing the housing recovery has been the rise in foreclosures as unemployment remains high. The two companies, facing mounting losses from mortgage defaults, were taken over by the government in September 2008 under the authority of a law Congress passed in the summer of 2008. Taxpayers have already shelled out $111 billion to the two companies.

Toxins found in United States Tap water (dangerous drinking water)

tap water
Most people believe tap water is a clean and healthy source of fluid for our bodies, this is a common myth. The United states government originally began flouridating our tap water supply in 1945, studies now indicate that fluoride may be associated with certain forms of cancer, kidney disease, and dental problems.

What does tap water contain that is so harmful to us? The findings include drugs such as antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones, in addition to the old problems of lead and volatile organic chemicals. With over 2100 toxic chemicals that can cause birth defects and cancer, we have good cause to be concerned. Atrazine, a nasty organic herbicide that’s banned in Europe, was one of the most common pollutants, as was the mood-stabilizing drug Carbamazepine and the painkiller Naproxen, among other drugs. Fish are already changing sex in rivers that we draw our water from, and no amount of chlorine that the treatment plants throw at it is going to help. This is a modern phenomenon as must be tackled with modern technology. Look for a multi-stage, carbon block filter which will effectively remove 99% of all contaminants, and keep in vital minerals like calcium and potassium. Check the manufacturers data performance sheet to check what it will remove. We live in times of mass water contamination, make sure you know what your drinking.

Obama appoints former Microsoft executive Howard Schmidt as "cybersecurity chief/czar"

obama and howard schmidt cyber security czar After months of delay, President Obama named a cyber-security coordinator to oversee the task of protecting the nation's computer systems in the public and private sectors. Obama appointed Howard Schmidt, a former chief security executive at Microsoft with 31 years' experience in law enforcement and the military, to the crucial post of White House cyber-security "czar."
"Howard is one of the world's leading authorities on computer security," said John Brennan, the White House counter-terrorism advisor, in a statement released -- fittingly -- by e-mail. Schmidt will have what Brennan called "regular access" to the president as a key member of the White House national security staff. Schmidt will also work with White House economic experts "to ensure that our cyber-security efforts keep the nation secure and prosperous," Brennan said. More than 10 months ago, Obama described protection of computer networks as an urgent priority for national security and promised to name a powerful chief advisor in that area. But the selection process ran into division and disarray that, critics said, have affected the government's cyber-security efforts.

The administration has sparred with business interests over cyber-security policy and has grappled with bureaucratic infighting among the law enforcement and intelligence agencies involved.

The Department of Homeland Security and other agencies have had difficulty hiring and retaining top experts in the field, a problem that apparently slowed the selection of the White House czar.

In praising Tuesday's appointment, the chairman of the Senate's Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), called on the administration to move faster to safeguard cyber-networks nationwide. Experts have cited threats posed by international organized crime, as well as hackers connected to the security forces and spy agencies of China and other nations. China denies it is trying to hack U.S. systems.

"I hope Mr. Schmidt's appointment leads to a renewed sense of urgency across the government to address this challenge," Lieberman said. "We need to develop without further delay a national strategy for safeguarding critical cyber-networks and a comprehensive plan that lays out the responsibilities of each federal agency and the private sector."

Schmidt has specialized in computer security and forensics as an investigator for the FBI, the Air Force and local law enforcement. He was vice chairman of a domestic security board and a special advisor to the White House under former President George W. Bush.

In the private sector, Schmidt held executive positions related to cyber-security at Microsoft and eBay and most recently served as president of a nonprofit information security consortium.

"In our digital world, the information technologies we depend upon every day present us with both great opportunity and great danger," Schmidt said in a videotaped statement posted on the White House website. He added: "When it comes to cyber-security, our vulnerability is shared."

Schmidt said the president had directed him to prioritize the development of a comprehensive national strategy and ensuring a unified response to future "cyber-incidents" endangering computer networks.

Paul Steigerwald Upsets Veterans

You know I always say that if you're going to say something that a person or group would find offensive, it's best to not say it at all, but the uproar of the latest case of verbal diahhrea even has me rolling my eyes.

Paul Steigerwald is an announcer for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and today he's under fire for making a joke about the Hobey Baker Award (Best College Hockey Player). See Baker quit the game of hockey to serve his country in WWI, but tragically crashed and died during a postwar flight in 1918. Steigerwald's boothmate Bob Errey made a point of saying that former Hobey Baker Award winner Mike Mottau went down hard, to which Paul chimed in and said, "Not as hard as Hobey Baker went down, though. He went down in a plane crash." Here's your video....

Yeah it was a little much, and the fact that the joke was made 91 years to the day that Baker died didn't help, but let's give Steigerwald a pass on this one. Afterall, it's Christmas right?

Bad News Braves Fans, You're Getting Chip Back

Oh how quickly good news can change. A cheer was heard from Baseball fans around the globe two weeks ago when Chip Caray was dropped by TBS, but the cheers specifically coming from Atlanta will now be changing to groans. Chip Caray is heading back to Atlanta to call Braves games on FOX Sports South and Sport South. Via the Atlanta Journal Constitution....
Three weeks after parting ways with Turner Sports, Cary's been hired as Braves play-by-play man on Fox Sports South and SportSouth, a person familiar with the situation said Monday. An announcement was expected by the end of the day.

Caray, 44-year-old scion of a famous broadcasting family, will replace Jon Sciambi, who left after the season to accept a full-time job at ESPN.

Caray will work more than 100 games on Fox Sports South and SportSouth with veteran Braves analyst Joe Simpson -- more than twice as many Braves games as Caray worked last year for the Turner-owned Peachtree station.
Sorry Braves fans, but you're stuck with him. Maybe time back with his old team will help Caray gain an understanding of how to do his job again.

Don Cherry Responds To Doctor Tator

A week ago, Don Cherry was blamed by a random doctor in Toronto for violence in Hockey. Well on Saturday, Cherry finally spoke about that matter and of course he had a bit of a disagreement with his accuser, Dr. Tator....

As the clip said, Dr. Tator has been trying to apologize to Cherry for awhile now, but apparently Grapes wants no part of it. I think it's safe to say that Hockey has always been a violent Sport and to blame one person for recent incidents is a little bit ridiculous.

Dear FOX, It's Time To Send Dick Stockton Out To Pasture

I've been rather easy on Dick Stockton all year long. I've ignored the player name mistakes, and I even decided against pulling the video of him calling the play clock "the shot clock" last week. But after today's play-by-play abortion, I just can't keep quiet anymore.

Not only did Stockton screw up just about everyone's name on both the Jets and Falcons, and call the Jets , the Eagles, about 10 times during the contest, but he spent the last four minutes of a 10-7 game saying the score was tied. He even got the call of the go ahead touchdown, with a minute remaining, wrong (I'm trying to grab the video and will update when I do so).

I know Dick Stockton has been a great announcer for most of his career, and some people still enjoy him, but this has just gotten ridiculous. He was terrible covering Baseball this past season, and he's been even worse calling NFL games this season. It's time to hang em up, Dick....you had a good run at it.

Tommy Kelly Had A Bit Of A Wardrobe Malfunction

There was a play earlier in the season which ended in Devin Hester showing his posterior to the world, but that's nothing compared to this one. Raiders DT Tommy Kelly made a heck of a stop on Knowshon Moreno near the goal line, but was pants'ed in the process....

Ummm....yeah. I don't really have anything to add to that one.
