Julian Assange Arrested: WikiLeaks Founder Taken Into Custody: (video)

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested by British police as part of a Swedish sex-crimes investigation. Assange surrendered at 9:30 a.m. (930 GMT) Tuesday and is due to appear in Court later today.

Julian Assange has been on the run since WikiLeaks began publishing hundreds of U.S. diplomatic cables on the Internet last week.

The organization has been repeatedly attacked over the past few weeks. It has been taken offline by web attacks, cut off by Isp's and is subject of a criminal investigation in the U.S.
