KUALA TERENGGANU – Sixty-eight trishaw riders in the Kuala Terengganu district today received RM300 each as an Aidilfitri donation from the state government.
The aid was handed over by Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said.
“I realise that the trishaw riders around here are mostly the elderly and they have been working for so many years. I hope that this donation will enable them celebrate Aidilfitri with a little more cheer,” Ahmad told reporters.
One of the recipients, Ngah Ismail, 63, from Pasir Panjang here, said the money would really come in handy for the Aidilfitri.
Another recipient, Ngah Abdullah, 66, thanked the state government for the aid. – BERNAMA
