I don’t think anyone is surprised that Al Gore and his environmental army would do something to misrepresent the truth. So the fact that he Photoshopped an image from NASA doesn't surprise me.
Florida State University Hurricane Expert Ryan Maue reported the apparent travesty, and since then dozens of experts have confirmed his suspicions. Needless to say, Al Gore has since removed the segment from his presentations. Rush Limbaugh mentioned Al Gore and his book recently laughing at the fact Gore would try to get away with this injustice. Limbaugh also seemed pretty angry about the whole matter.
