The Federal Government issued 3 preliminary reports Monday linking imported Chinese drywall products to toxins in US homeowners homes. The reports analyzed air samples taken from dozens of homes Containing drywall made in China. The studies detected hydrogen sulfide and formaldehyde. 2 other studies found copper sulfide and metal corrosion in homes with the imported drywall. Over 2,000 reports of homeowners complaining of rotten egg smell, sickness, failed appliances, and metal corrosion may be linked to the Chinese drywall. The Chinese seem to be helping with the investigation and scientist are still studying possible causes. For now, the government is labeling it a "strong association."
