On Friday, South Korea's President announced he is willing to meet with Kim Jung Il, the North Korean Dictator in order to resolve the countries nuclear standoff with eachother. Myung-bakin, in a live television address on Friday suggested an inter-Korean summit be held between the two leaders to improve relations.
"I have no political reason to hold a summit (with Kim), but I will meet him anytime," Lee said, according to a South Korean news agency. North Korea's Kim has held summits with the South twice: the first in 2000 and the other in 2007. "Because the denuclearization of the North Korea is such an important issue, I will meet Kim Jung Il anytime, and anywhere, as long as our objective's shall be achieved." North Korea pulled out of six-party nuclear disarmament talks in April. The negotiations involve South Korea, China, Russia and Japan.
