Congress wants investigation into hacked climate research documents/Emails.

Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe spent the weekend sending letters to scientist and Federal agencies notifying them to retain breached documents and e-mails that prove researchers manipulated data to make the case for global warming. Sen. Inhofe requested an investigation into the U.N.'s intergovernmental panel on climate change. The controversy began last week right before President Obama was scheduled to outline U.S. goals for reducing greenhouse gas emmisions in Copenhagen. Inhofe said the manipulation of climate change data has been going on for a long time, but the disclosure of the breached e-mails could bury the climate change legislation that narrowly passed the House. Last week, hackers broke into a Climatic Research Unit in Great Britain and stole thousands of documents regarding global warming. The hackers the uploaded the files to an anonymous ftp server in Russia. In the Wall Street Journal, a scientist wrote, "I'm really sorry that you have to go through all this stuff, Phil. Next time I see Pat Michaels at a scientific meeting, I'll be tempted to beat the crap out of him. Very tempted." This story is of utmost importance.
