Sarah Palin asked not to speak at Fort Bragg by Army

sarah palin Sarah Palin made a brief stop at Fort Bragg on Monday for her on-going book tour as thousands greeted the former vice presidential candidate. The Department of Defense prohibits politicians from using installations as a platform, so Palin didn't give a speech, she just thanked soldiers individually.Army officials feared the book signing could turn into a political debate over the presidency of Barrack Obama. The army agreed to let Palin on post because she is no longer a politician. Sarah Palin is embarking on what is likely to be the most commercially successful book tour by a politician since President Obama launched "The Audacity of Hope" three years ago. Palin will travel from one book signing to another making her tour appear like an extension of her campaign for vice president, or the beginning of a new campaign. She will be riding what one Republican calls a backlash among many conservatives against the treatment she has received from the media and much of the political establishment.
